1. Information We Collect

a. Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, display name, optional WhatsApp number, and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — never in plain text).

b. Information from Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares the following limited profile information with us, based on the OAuth scopes you approve:

• Email address — to create and identify your account.
• Name — displayed on your profile.
• Profile picture (avatar URL) — displayed on your profile.
• Google account ID (sub) — used internally to link your sign-ins.

We do not request, receive, or store your Google password. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service data.

c. Order and usage data

Service orders you place, target links, quantities, transaction history, support messages, and basic usage metrics needed to deliver the service.

d. Technical data

IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps for security, fraud prevention, and debugging.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create and secure your LightFollows account.
• Process and deliver the social media marketing services you order.
• Send transactional emails (order updates, password resets, security alerts).
• Provide customer support.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal and tax obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We never sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Payment processors (including Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates, where applicable) who act as Merchant of Record and process subscription payments, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. Only the data needed to complete a transaction is shared (name, email, billing address, IP, and order details). Paddle processes this data under its own Privacy Policy.
• Service providers who help us operate (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, support tooling) under strict confidentiality and data processing agreements.
• Upstream API providers that fulfil your orders — we only send the public target link and quantity, never your personal data.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

3a. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards approved by the relevant data-protection authority to ensure an adequate level of protection.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled databases. We use industry-standard measures including TLS for data in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access control, and row-level security policies. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent for Google Sign-In by disconnecting LightFollows from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

LightFollows is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
